From homeowners and title insurance to electricity markets and consumer lending, consumers face significant regulatory barriers. Not always content to leave these transactions to the market, policymakers have adopted numerous regulations. This begs the question, are existing consumer protections in our laws helping consumers or stifling consumer choice? This panel will examine how much consumer protection is enough.
